I’ve griped about Vegas dining enough to know the Strip’s constantly peddling some new con, buffets that leave you bloated and broke, fine-dining joints where $100 buys a thimble of sauce.

Now, food halls are the hot trend, basically mall food courts from your childhood jacked up with neon, celeb chefs, and promises of “elevated” grub: communal tables, no reservations, vendors slinging global bites like it’s a street market on steroids.

The pitch?

Variety for groups, casual vibes, and value without the waste of all-you-can-eat slop. But is this mall nostalgia reborn really worth it, or just overpriced fast food with a twist that hits your wallet harder than a BlackJack Dealer? Casinos are all in, replacing buffets with these for “lower costs” and more crowds, but let’s cut the BS: some deliver raw fun and deals, others feel like glorified food trucks charging Strip premiums.

So, do they stomp old mall courts and buffets, or just repackage fast food for suckers? Here’s the no-BS breakdown, with value, fun, and tips to decide for yourself.
