Why does eating after 10 p.m. on the Strip feel like drive-thru roulette?

Ok, it’s 10 p.m. or later.

Maybe you just got out of a VGK game. Maybe a concert. Maybe you went on a heater at a table and suddenly realized you haven’t eaten since whatever overpriced appetizer was pretending to be dinner six hours ago.

You’re hungry. You’re on the Strip. And you think:
It’s Vegas. This city never sleeps, right?

Wrong.
Or at least… not in the way it used to.

There’s a growing trend on the Strip, and once you notice it, you can’t unsee it: places just aren’t open as late as they once were, and finding something decent after 10 p.m. is way more annoying than it should be in a city that built its entire personality around excess, convenience, and bad decisions at unreasonable hours.
