The Yearly Vegas Points Reset
How to Re-Earn MGM Gold (Without Bleeding Cash)

Every January, it’s the same old thing. Your tier credits reset to zero, leaving all that hard drinking, gambling, and food indulging so that you don’t have to pay for parking or resort fees, to have to be done all over again. That Gold status is still available, but you once again need to qualify in the new calendar year.
Everyone begins to think, “Was this a fluke? Can I do it again?” Resort and parking fees suck, and discounted or even better, free rooms make that extra trip (or 3) much easier, even with the increases in air travel costs.
My most recent booking is for 5 nights at MGM in a renovated room, total cost all in $21. Without Gold, it would cost $1015.70.
I should have your attention now 🤣

MGM Tier Credits reset every January 1.
You earn Tier Credits during the calendar year
You keep your status until the following January
You have to requalify each year.
Miss the threshold by December 31?
Congrats! You’re starting over at zero without perks.
This is why January is the smartest time to plan, not panic.
Let’s break it down. Slowly. Honestly. With numbers.
