Vegas F1 Week: You Don’t Need a Race Ticket to Get in on the Action

(But Here’s What It Actually Cost Me)

I’ve been holding back on this one. Social media has a way of brainwashing people into hating Las Vegas’s biggest events, and Formula 1 is near the top of that list. Fellow race fan subs, this one’s for you. I’ll lay out my real pre-race costs, what’s confirmed as a good time that week (a lot of it free, because we have to save somewhere), and why the disruption argument starts to fall apart when you look at what this thing actually brings in.

I’m in on Sunday and hitting VGK games Sunday and Tuesday. Collab night on the 17th ran $344 for two tickets, face value, a few rows back from the glass. Added expense, sure.

We’re booked our normal condo at Vdara for around $670 for the week. MGM Gold, already upgraded to a suite because of status. Eight nights, and yeah, it’s the most I’ve spent on a room stay all year, and what I have planned for next year. I don’t think it’s overly expensive for what we’re doing. We’re not leaving until the following Monday to avoid the mess at LAS.

Lots of tips in this.. Thanks to all who subscribe
