Vegas Luxury You Aren’t Experiencing (and Might Miss Out On)
NoMad is supposed to be going away, but will it change?
I’ve stayed at NoMad Las Vegas a few times, and every time, it’s an experience. Sure, you can go all-in at Wynn, it’s luxury defined. But for me? Wynn’s a little far if you’re a VGK fan who likes to stumble around the grounds on game night, catch a show, or just soak in the chaos of the Strip. I can’t be the only one who wants luxury but doesn’t want to feel like I’ve been sealed in a bubble for the week.
Enter NoMad. The boutique hotel sits on the top four floors of the Park MGM hotel, with floors 29, 30, 31, and 32 being dedicated to the hotel-within-a-hotel concept, smack dab in the middle of the Strip’s mid-tier crowd.
And that’s exactly what makes it work. Park MGM is the only smoke-free casino on the Strip, has a killer restaurant lineup, and houses Dolby Live, one of the best live venues in Vegas. The contrast between boutique serenity and Strip chaos? It adds more than it takes away.
The Arrival That Sets the Tone
My first experience with NoMad was last December. After a messy day flying in from Texas, we finally made it back home to Vegas. The Uber ride? Classic Vegas chaos. The driver alternated between pretending not to speak English and then pretending not to speak Spanish, despite having a phone conversation in Spanish for half the ride. But that’s Vegas, so whatever.
