September 2025 in Vegas is gonna be a wild ride, cooler nights, thinner crowds, and a lineup that’ll make you ditch the Strip’s overpriced traps. The first downtown beerfest, Oktoberfest DTLV, brings brews and brats; VGK preseason hockey fires up T-Mobile Arena; new haunts like Universal Horror Unleashed and John Wick Experience should have the kinks worked out; and pools close by month’s end.
Plus, I’m hitting the Strip and town in late September, vibing with you all for Vegas Uncomped meetups, new for us! I’ve scoured X buzz and event listings to deliver the raw scoop on what’s hot and worth your time. No tourist BS, just gritty fun that saves your wallet.
After exposing Fremont’s chaos, I’ve hunted September’s best beerfests, hockey, new attractions, and my street runs, to help you own Sin City. Here’s the no-BS rundown, with hacks to rule it.
What’s on Tap for September 2025
September’s cooling off, highs in the upper 80s, lows in the 60s, perfect for outdoor fests and indoor thrills. A tourism dip means less crowded casinos and better deals on rooms, even cheaper than summer peaks. Most pools (Mandalay Bay, Caesars, Resorts World) shut by late September, so it’s your last shot to splash. Here’s what’s popping:

Oktoberfest DTLV (Sept 19-21, Fremont Street)
The first big beerfest of September, transforming East Fremont from Las Vegas Blvd to 7th Street into a two-block open-air bier hall.
Expect German brews, brats, pretzels, Keg Bowling, Nagelspiel, Dachshund Derby, Stein Hoisting,
Live music, DJs, and more under the neon canopy, first time Fremont closes for this.
Locals: Quick drive, free parking nearby.
Tourists: Short Uber, saves big vs. overpriced lounges.
Tip: Hit Friday noon for fresh food, shorter lines; check partners like El Cortez for VIP perks.
Fun: Rowdy beer tents, Bavarian-Vegas chaos. More info click here.
VGK Preseason Games (Starts Sept 21, T-Mobile Arena)
Golden Knights kick off their 2025-26 preseason on the road vs. San Jose Sharks (Sept 21, 5 p.m. PT), but home ice rocks Sept 23 vs. LA Kings (7 p.m.) and Sept 25 vs. Utah Mammoth (7 p.m.), with more Oct 1 vs. Colorado Avalanche (6 p.m.) and Oct 3 vs. San Jose (7 p.m.).
Tickets are way cheaper than regular season. This is my team, and we have a real shot at our second Cup this year. If you’ve never been to an NHL game, this is your chance to get in on the action and get hooked at a lower price. Expect a full VGK experience newsletter in the near future.
This will be the first chance to see Marner in a Gold Sweater at home. I will be in Section 120 for the September 23rd game against LA. If you’re going, let me know. Pre-game, you can find me at BeerHaus, chirping at any LA fan I can find! You can buy me a beer! lol
Tickets can be found on AXS or Ticketmaster.
Locals: Easy Uber, you know the parking spots.
Tourists: Walk from Strip, beats big-ticket shows.
Tip: Hit Sept 23 opener for fan giveaways; grab arena eats.
Fun: Loud fans, gritty ice action. Chirp at the out-of-towner LA fans like a local.
Universal Horror Unleashed (Opened Aug 14, ongoing, AREA15)
Year-round horror with four haunted houses, Universal Monsters, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist: Believer, Scarecrow: The Reaping.
I walked through, dodging Leatherface’s chainsaw, heart racing in the Kill Vault’s creepy setup, unlike any Strip show. People have already been sent to the hospital after this experience. One TikToker had a heart spike over 180, and it earned them an ambulance ride after almost passing out.
Locals: Chill AREA15 night.
Tourists: Near Strip, cheaper than Cirque.
Tip: Visit in early September for lighter crowds; head to Rough Cuts for spooky bites.
Fun: Jump scares, immersive sets, and a possible hospital stay.
Tickets can be found here.
John Wick Experience (worth a visit if you haven’t been yet)
Live the assassin life with Continental Hotel sets, interactive missions, and photo ops. I felt like I was dodging bullets in a gritty underworld, way cooler than pricey residencies.
This is almost like an escape room on a new steroid acid trip. You really feel like you are somehow in the movie. The actors are great, lean into the fun and play the part, they’ll love it.
Be sure to check out the Continental bar, and be careful how you use your coins so you don’t become excommunicado.
Locals: Unique night out.
Tourists: Short ride, saves vs. Strip shows.
Wanna go, Click here.
Tip: Pair with AREA15 rides and attractions.
Fun: Action-packed, cinematic vibe.
Last Month for Pool Access (Closes late Sept)
Pools like Mandalay Bay’s wave pool, Caesars’ Garden of the Gods, and Resorts World’s infinity decks close by September’s end. A pool day in Vegas is all about soaking up the last summer rays.
Locals: Easy escape.
Tourists: Affordable day passes vs. July crowds.
Tip: Midweek for no lines; check hotel sites for closing dates (around Sept 28-30). I suggest having food and a few drinks before you go, because these pool parties get expensive.
Fun: DJ sets, chill cabanas, people soup.
Vegas Uncomped on the Strip (Late Sept)
I’m hitting the Strip and around town in late September, hosting Vegas Uncomped impromptu meetups, new for us! Catch me all around town, at Fremont for Oktoberfest or near T-Mobile during VGK games, swapping hacks and vibes.
I did a test run last month on Fremont, jawing with locals over beers, raw, real Vegas. We’ll be wearing shirts with QR codes that are ridiculously obvious.
Locals: Join for insider tips. Tourists: Meet me for no-BS stories.
Tip: Follow @VegasUncomped on X for spots and times.
Fun: Live the Uncomped life with me.
Why September’s a Must-Visit
The tourism dip means less packed slots and better show seats.
Oktoberfest DTLV’s street closure is a first, blending German fest with Fremont’s neon grit.
VGK preseason brings affordable hockey buzz; Horror Unleashed and John Wick add cinematic thrills you won’t find elsewhere.
Last pool days give urgency to catch summer’s tail.
My meetups bring Vegas Uncomped to the streets, unique, raw, and budget-friendly. X is hyping “Vegas deals” with cheaper rooms and flash promos.
September’s a one-of-a-kind mix, sports, fests, new haunts, and me in the mix.
Why This Isn’t Every “influencer” Blog’s Pick
Blogs shill pricey residencies ‘cause comps; I’m spilling September’s raw gems, beerfest, VGK, Horror, Wick, pools, my meetups, that locals love but tourists miss. No BS, just Vegas truth.
