Your Vegas Stay May Vary + Just Don’t : Vegas Resorts That Can Be Hit-or-Miss (and Two You Should Never Step Foot In)
The resorts that earn your business, and why some still get it spectacularly wrong. Part 3 of 3
Vegas is a strange city. What works for one visitor might ruin another’s trip. That’s why some hotels live in the gray zone: great on a good day, miserable on a bad one.
Welcome to the “Your Stay May Vary” list, the final installment of this three-part series, resorts that can surprise you, delight you, or leave you questioning why you even booked the room.
And yes… We’ll close with the brutal “Just Don’t” list, because someone has to say it.
Missed the first two parts of the series? I’ll link them below..
Planet Hollywood- Back-and-Forth Fun
PH is a strange mix. On one hand, it’s lively, has the Pleasure Pit, packed with options, and has my favorite quick eats (Earl of Sandwich). Miracle Mile shops are right there, including two ABC stores and my favorite Walk of Shame viewing spot at Cabo Wabo (sit on the patio on a weekend, fun people watching), but let’s be honest: the property guards the strip entrances with a time-share fortress.
The moment you walk in, you’re hassled with questions about show tickets and things to do. They’ll say anything to get people to stop. Walk past, say no thanks, F-off, whatever, just don’t stop.
Customer service? Nonexistent if you have to deal with actual humans. But if you manage to self-check in and glide past the lines, it’s not bad at all. On a solo mission with minimal interaction, Planet Hollywood can be a solid stay. Just don’t expect help when things go sideways.
